Start Living A Balanced Life
As many of you already know, the philosophy of Pursuing Freedom is that the goal is to build a life you don’t need a vacation from. You are creating an amazing life AND an amazing business—not one at the expense of the other. The real estate business presents us with so many ways to build a business that is engineered to support our lifestyle goals. And over the course of 100 episodes, we have gotten to see an extremely diverse group of professionals who have all achieved success through different means and strategies. In honor of 100 episodes, I put together this solocast to talk about what I like to call the Three R’s of Success.
Financial Success and a Balanced Life
I define success in the real estate business as having the freedom to enjoy life, to be present with the people I care about, and to feel awake and energized in order to magnetize the results we desire. The Three R’s of Success is a framework you can use to achieve all of those things, and it’s comprised of rest, recess, and routines. Developing each of these areas will help you overcome the disconnect between achieving financial success and living a balanced life.
The Three R’s of Success
The real estate business can feel like a roller coaster with unpredictable ups and downs around every corner. But your life can be so much easier if you embrace the idea of routines. You should be tracking your time so you can see how you’re spending your days, and learn to build on your strengths, while leveraging your weaknesses. Well-crafted routines will help you achieve greater results with less effort. More success with less work means you can enjoy the freedom, rest, and recess that pulled you into this business in the first place. Rest and recess enable us to operate at our peak energy so we can make a greater impact with less time. Rest and recess are not given to us, we have to prioritize both and make time for them. Stop waiting to enjoy your freedom after everything else is done—make time for yourself and you will be more effective in every other area of your business.
